Just heard from Guido that our J-Land and Blogger friend Ally Wells passed away on the 8th July.
She was a lovely lady and was a great support to me during my illness. We had known each other for nine years but lost touch when J-Land fell apart and Ally struggled with Blogger and eventually could not access her blog.
I did not know she was ill so her loss has come as a shock. Condolences to herr daughter Lyn and family.
Goodbye my friend, thank you for your friendship and sleep well.

Ally was truly a gem. We often chatted via AOL instant message back when AOL Journals were still up & running. I have her birthday marked on the calendar here next to my computer~July 11th. This year she will be spending her birthday in paradise. I'm thankful to have known Ally if only on-line and thru cards & letters.
I live in Norfolk,not that far from her.we used to chat on AIM about places we both knew.sh knew a girl I had a crush on at school lol.was always a lovely lady.will be sadly missed.

It's been a very sad day today for lots of us.I have never had you out of my thoughts today Ally.You were a true friend through and through and I shall miss you sooooooo much and the tales of your little doggies Nin and Barney.May perpetual light shine upon you Ally.You were the first person to comment in my old journal on AOL and it was through you,I met lots of wonderful AOL friends,who I am still in touch with.Thankyou Never forgotten RIP.Kath Motherhen xx
You were a friend to so many, sweet Ally, were always there for me. I will never forget your kindness, how many emails you sent to lift my spirits when my Johnny had cancer. I will miss you. Love you much.
